The Path Less Taken Outdoor Experiences
A short drive west of Calgary will lead you to a vast wilderness area with pristine creeks, wildflower dotted meadows, rolling foothills and stunning, snow covered peaks. This is Kananaskis Country, a provincially protected gem of Alberta. What better way to explore this awe-inspiring terrain than with a Guided Interpretive Hike or Snowshoe!
Your guide, Leith Monaghan, will bring a wealth of local knowledge but also a high level of safety and professionalism. Your guide will have:
- Hiking Guide, Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG)
- Certified Professional Interpretive Guide, Interpretive Guides Association
- 80 Hour Wilderness First Aid Training
- Outdoor Council of Canada Field Leader
- Field Experience since 2001

There is a degree of hazard in all mountain activities. All participants must sign a waiver of liability prior to commencing any Path Less Taken Outdoor Experience. A Waiver and Medical Form will be provided to participants to review prior to their trip. A sample waiver can be read HERE

Interpretive Field Trips
Interpretive Field Trips by The Path Less Taken are digital trail guides for the inquisitive hiker or recreationalist. Each guide is built on a theme and topic that seeks to connect you to the local landscape while recreating in Kananaskis Country, Alberta.
